The Western Instruments LP-5C Low Profile Cable Type Permanent Magnet Yoke (Flex Mag) is a low profile cable type permanent magnet yoke, for confined and complex workplaces, that can lift 50lbs and has been tested up to 85lbs. The Flex Mag weighs only 490g (21oz), but its only 8cm (3¼") high so it is compact and easy to carry.

The Western Instruments LP-5C Low Profile Cable Type Permanent Magnet Yoke is designed so that you can achieve easier and more reliable contact to provide stress crack detection in any direction. Flex Mag is versatile and can test for stress fractures in metal without the use of electricity.

For you welders the Flex Mag allows you to test your welds for defects anywhere you may be working.

When doing inspections or checking welds, you can use the Flex Mag with our Basic Dry Method Kit or our Wet Method Kit to accurately see any stress fractures or cracks. The flux cable gives flexibility of the pole pieces for complex geometries. The inspector can space the pole from 1¾" to 6" or more.
